Personal Note

I am an imperfect Christian that strives to put a smile on my Lord's face.  I have enjoyed archery, trout fishing, hunting, shed hunting, kayaking and used to make a lot of pine needle baskets (that you can see on the other tabs).  I also enjoy learning off-grid lifestyle and completely enjoy the ideas of being more self sustainable. My most treasured time now is taking walks with my two incredible Sons that the Lord blessed me with.   

I work hard at reaching out to people that may be hurting. I love showing the compassion and kindness of the Lord to others, but I have not always been successful nor has it been received well.   I have been spit on metaphorically as well as literally, and have gone through more than I'd wish on anyone. I have done what I could for the love of my beautiful Savior. He sees our heart. We must keep pushing forward, keeping our eyes on Him.

I remember that Jesus said, "If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." John 15:18-19.  I have appreciated the friendships and those that have enjoyed my work for the Lord.  My prayer board will always be available to you.  

A Tiny Glimpse of My Faith History:

My faith walk took a leap forward much later in life, when I found a curriculum that changed my life!  I dove into the content and completed my bachelor's in ministry.  The name of this fabulous school is The International School of Ministry (ISOM), founded by Dr. Berin Gilfillan.  Dr. Berin had the concept of "ISOM" in the late 1980s when he worked as the television producer for Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke.  It was time invested that I am so thankful for!

I sought out more training through my church, Free Chapel and completed their School of Discipleship program.  It too is a great program in drawing closer to the God we serve.  I've been serving as a Prayer Team member volunteer for the online Free Chapel campus (currently serving 20,000 members) for a couple of years now. I was thrilled to have spent a season working for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association as well!  There are a lot of hurting people in this world, and we each need to be thankful for any good that the Lord has allowed us to have.

I see myself as a "Prisoner of Christ," and see Him as the most important aspect of living.  It is my deep passion to see other believers on fire for the Lord and seeking Him first.  He deserves that!  While abiding in His love, I pray we learn to reach out and care for the lost, the hurting, and those we have access to within our own families and friends to share this same love.  Love is......1 Corinthians 13:4-7.  Keep in mind, not all will be receptive to anything you may try to do or say.  So, pray for them in your own time and let the Lord do His work within them.
